What this document covers.

This notice explains what personal information Byteware Engineering Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “Byteware”) collects from you when you visit byteware.co.zw, contact us, or engage us for software work. It is written in plain language; if anything is unclear, write to privacy@byteware.co.zw.

02What we collect

The data we hold, and why.

Identity

Name, job title, and company collected when you contact us or sign an engagement.

Contact

Email and phone number, used only to respond and to send the (optional) newsletter.

Project

Notes, files, and recordings you share during a project held in your namespace, deleted on request.

Technical

Aggregate analytics about how this site is used (page views, referrers). No third-party trackers.

03How we use it

Three purposes, nothing else.

  1. To deliver the work. Run the projects you have hired us for and communicate about them.
  2. To respond to enquiries. Reply to people who write to us about a possible engagement.
  3. To send the newsletter, if you opted in. One email per fortnight. One-click unsubscribe.
04Who we share it with

Subprocessors, in full.

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the small set of providers we use to run the business:

  • Google WorkspaceEmail, calendar, documents
  • NotionInternal project documentation
  • LinearProject & issue tracking
  • StripeInvoicing and payments
  • AWS · eu-west-2Hosting for our website and client systems
05Your rights

What you can ask us to do.

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to a specific use. We respond to all requests within 14 days. Write to privacy@byteware.co.zw.

06Changes

How this notice changes.

If we materially change this notice, we will email subscribers and post the diff at the top of this page for 30 days. The version below is the current one.
